Legalized marijuana is already changing the legal landscape and it’s creating challenges in other states. Colorado recently reduced the number of plants people can grow and strengthened penalties in hopes of weakening black market sales. In San Francisco and Seattle, past misdemeanor convictions for pot are now being cleared. People were being barred from jobs and public benefits for something that’s now legal. 5 Investigates’ Mike Beaudet finds that legalization here in Massachusetts hasn’t gotten rid of the tensions between users and law enforcement.
