On Thursday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced he is planning to introduce a bill to remove marijuana from the list of the US’ federally controlled substances. The bill comes on the heels of two others introduced in the House and Senate — dubbed the Marijuana Justice Act. These would go further than Schumer’s bill by fully legalizing marijuana at the federal level and getting rid of convictions for pot use or possession.
